Study day - Real Title Sequence Examples

At our BFI study day we looked at opening title sequences. These included 'Napoleon Dynamite', 'Dawn Of The Dead' and 'Catch Me If You Can'

Through watching these examples we learnt many important requirements for our own title sequences
  1. They should include around 20 credits
  2. They should be around 2 minutes long
  3. You shouldn't tell too much of the story
  4. You should have an enigma, something that would make people watch on
  5. The music should suit the type of genre as this is very important

  1. A good summary of what is required - your blog is looking better, but you are still missing some posts -see full list below.
    To Improve:
    1. Catch up on posts
2.You will also need to write more on Representation (you've spent a whole term on this with Mrs Rolfe).
3.Don't use white on black for your font as blogger can't seem to cope with this and it becomes illegible. The last student to use it got marked down as a result.
    4. There isn't enough info on the history of opening sequences.
    5. Write up why you think the student films you have embedded got the grades they got - see me for a copy of the marking criteria in order to do this.
